For a break from the traditional athletics and sports competitions, UQ Sport's lifestyle and recreation programs offer creative and social ways to keep fit and maintain health.
Classes are regularly scheduled at the UQ St Lucia campus in Brisbane, but they can be delivered at a venue that suits you - perfect if you are looking to run a corporate yoga or Pilates program for your workplace.
Or, you may be a community group, social club, or health club that wants to provide health or exercise classes for your members or the general public.
There’s a huge range of popular activities to choose from:
- Try Pilates in our purpose built Brisbane Pilates studio.
- Relax with a range of yoga programs - including Dynamic Vinyasa Yoga, Hatha Yoga, and Shiatsu Yoga.
- Extend yourself with personal development classes in drawing, African drumming and massage.
- Keep fit and learn self defence with a selection of Brisbane martial arts classes – including boxing, Capoeira, kickboxing, and Japanese sword and stick arts.
- Dance your way to health with one of the many dancing classes – including hip hop, Latin, swing, jazz and belly dancing.
